My sister is in town with her new baby so I have the perfect subject this week. We are going to do an "official" shoot later this week, but I needed a shot for today, so I laid her on my kitchen table and used the overhead light for this shot. I also propped up a piece of white foam core for a background. (I used this same setup for the tulip shot.) She was in a grumpy mood and I had intended to try and get a scrunchy face shot, but then she decided to like the light so much that she calmed right down. So, I went for the body parts. I always love baby feet shots. I didn't want to go too high with my ISO but she was so wiggly. I finally settled with 400 ISO and waited for her stillest moments to click, because the speed was 1/13th at f-5.6. If she moved at all there was blur.

Oh my Heavens, this is so cute. this is what I invision baby toes to look like. This is neat!
I love this shot! If you've looked at any of my previous shots, I tend to like children's feet as well! It's really beautiful- and I always appreciate your explanations. They help me connect the concepts to the actual photographing. Thanks!
So sweet! How old is Maren? I want to kiss those wrinkly little feet!
She is now 3 weeks.
I think I've said "This one is my favorite" on all your pictures, but this one really is. (Maybe).
